The Blue Jimp company specializes in offering professional support, maintenance and on-demand development related to the Jitsi (SIP Communicator) open source project.

The company was established in late 2009 by Emil Ivov, who is also founder of the Jitsi (previously SIP Communicator) project itself. After finishing his Ph.D. in the University of Strasbourg, France, Emil and a few other dedicated project developers decided to create Blue Jimp with the purpose of accompanying the development of Jitsi (SIP Communicator) with a set of services that would foster its adoption by VoIP service providers and server vendors.
